Anchorage: on sand and coral 2 mètres, average holding.
Going ashore: on the dinghy dock.
Anchorage between Pinel Islet and Petite Clef:
Very little space: max 12 boats. Magnificent.
Petite Clef is not accessible, there is no beach.
Pinel Islet has beautiful beaches and two dinghy docks (choose the smaller one, the other is for shuttles). This is also the local children's and windsurfers' favourite beach, lots of people en Wednesdays and week-ends.
No services.
Food & drinks:
Walking along the beach left of the dinghy dock you will find a nice restaurant "à la Robisnson Crusoe".
Communications:
Small motor boats to the main island (St Martin).
NOTRE APPRECIATION
Belle escale de jour. Magnifiques plages et excellent snorkeling.
VOTRE APPRECIATION
La bouée, qui marquait le petit récif de corail à l'entrée du mouillage n'existe plus ( 1 février 2003). Il est cependant assez visible, tache plus claire, profondeur 4 pieds. L'éviter en rasant les bouées blanches délimitant l'espace des nageurs à l'est ou de l'autre côté, en vous rapprochant de l'îlet Petite Clef. L'abri est très suffisamment protégé pour un catamaran, nous y sommes restés par 15-25 nœuds de vent et belle houle du nord-est. Toutefois les monocoques semblaient avoir bien plus de mal, surtout ceux qui étaient les plus loin des deux pontons, là où on est bien plus exposé à une houle venant par le travers.
