Approach: Easy
Shelter: Excellent
Night approach: Yes - Overnight: Yes
Draft: In the lagoon 3.5 m. otherwise no issue
Beware: Follow the marking to enter the lagoon
Waypoint:
Anchorage: Good holding on mud in the lagoon, otherwise sand.
Approach to the anchorage and to the harbour easy. The outside marks are relevant for cargoes and cruise ships more than for yachts.
The town build on the hills is visible from far off. Come to the waypoint and choose either the external anchorage or to enter in the lagoon.
External anchorage: Anchor on sand 4 to 5 meters, good holding. Sometimes subject to swell.
The lagoon: Entering the Carenage (to port) is not advisable to yachts. Follow the marks, only red buoys are present and lit at night. Head for the large mixed (cargo and cruise ship) jetty, a few meters off, the channel goes to starboard to enter the lagoon. At the entrance, leave the green and red buoy to port and don't take notice of the last two red buoys.
Anchor where ever you like in the lagoon on mud 5 to 7 meters. There are spots with lesser depth about 3.5 m.
The Grenada Yacht Club (VHF 16) to the north of the lagoon allows docking on and has a small dock for fuel and water in the west of the marina, in front of the tender dock.
Going ashore: In the yacht club or ask a fishing boat in Carenage.
