Sailpilot.com 2009Saint Pierre is a port of entry and clearance formalities are performed at the Tourism office.

There is a fruit and vegetable market every morning from 5 o'clock, and an "8 à 8" supermarket on the seafront. Camping Gaz is also available. Pharmacy and post office in the rue Victor Hugo.

Food & drinks:
All kinds of little bars and restaurants along the seafront. Noisy but relaxed!

Internet:
Cyberbase in the rue Charles de Gaulle, across from the hospital. Very friendly and reasonable rates.
L'Escale, on the seafront is only open during meal hours.
La Vague has Wifi for 5€/hour!

Ashore:
Visit the ruins of the theater and the prisoner's cell (the prisoner is reputed to be the only survivor of the volcano erruption that distroyed the town in 1903). The small museum is also worth a visit. Also the La Paz distillery. If the weather allows, treck up the Montagne Pelée.
