Rodney Bay is over a mile large. In the north, new buildings with a blue roof are a good landmark as are the red roofs to the south. As you approach you will see the Gros Ilet church spire just to the north of the entrance to the lagoon.
The entrance to the lagoon is marked by red and green cans, but they are not lit at night. Entering by night is no problem, however, when you are entering the lagoon make sure you follow the fix in order to ensure a depth of 3.5 m. There is a light ground surf when the swell is from the NW.
There are a number of docks available at Rodney Bay Marina which is protected from winds, which makes manouvering easier.
The best anchorage is to the north of the bay in front of the museum dock on a sandy bottom of +/- 6.5 m. In case of ESE wind, there is excellent shelter just to the south of the entrance to the lagoon.
Landing: at the marina.
