Shelter: Medium - alternative shelter: Clifton harbour 4 M.

Night approach: No - Overnight anchorage: yes by calm and established weather

Draft: 4 meters outside and only 1.5 meters inside

Beware: Procede carefully

Waypoint: 12° 37,6 N - 061° 21,0 W

Anchorage: good holding on sand 1 to 4 meteres.

Outside Horse Shoe Reef, the approach to Petit Tabac is difficult and should not be attempted by swell from the north-east.

Follow the outside of the reef which is quite visible on 15 meter soundings.

Once the island is in the SW, steer to 150° true towards the west of the island. Anchor just north of the point on a sandy bottom 4 meters deep.

To enter into the small reef, have a crew member on the pulpit and advance slowly ESE. 1.5 meter draft might well be the maximum.

Going ashore: on the beach
