DANGERS
Distances are quite short within this area. During winter there is little swell. East to west current is weak in the Grenadines, but may reach 2,5 knots between the northern islands (Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Bequia).

The coast of most islands is clear of dangers, however beware of the coasts of Tobago Cays, Union and PSV.

Passage from Saint Lucia to Martinique:
The channel is 18 Miles. It is easier to tack towards the western part of Martinique (Fort de France) than to le Marin when leaving Saint Lucia. You can make land at night both in Martinique (Fort de France) and Saint Lucia (Rodney Bay).
